Boarding the Jewel of the Seas

After a rather tiresome journey to the port of Harwich, London leaving from my grandmother's house at 1100hrs. We finally entered the vast compound where we would begin our journey; the Jewel of the Seas displayed its massive body to us as we offloaded our luggage. We then caught a shuttle bus to get to the main terminal.

Arriving at Harwich Cruise Terminal
As we booked for a grand suite again, we had the ability to go to the priority queue in contrast to the flocks of others - whey. It was deserted except for an Israeli familty who were about to leave. I was sitting lazily on the chairs nearby, when I suddenly caught the eyes of a Spanish girl, who appeared quite attractive. I was  first pleased to see young people on the ship - despite previous assumptions on older crowds, and she was somewhat nice to glance at  - although she was probably 20 or 18, teehee.

As we finished checking in, we confirmed that our cabin was on the top deck - deck 10, and we were issued our 'seapass' cards (which I thought was cheap ass shet). I grabbed a cookie on the way out whilst trying to coolly chew my chewing gum in front of that spanish girl, lol I thought it was overdone.

We had to wait in a bloody long queue, as staff from the previous cruise departed. It was the usual RCL furniture: it had bored me ever since the first day I travelled with them. We made our way up to deck 10 where we were met with the usual room of the grand suite and we immediately glanced out from the balcony to take pictures - like real asians.

Me posing on the balcony, teehee...

'The Views of Harwich'

The room was good, this time with a better flat screen tv. However what disappointed us was the fact that we were not welcomed with starters, ...bastards.

Sitting on the sofa and taking this picture of the already messed up suite.
First time using 'panoramic view' for the room.

We then dossed about for some time until the 'leaving away' party was due, we gradually made our way to the tacky 'Windjammer cafe' - (I thought they tried to make the name 'fun' and 'trendy' but it to me its sounded like a piece of shit) where there were dense crowds of people, people who have either had no food for 24hrs or need extended amounts of cake and ice cream to fulfil their daily requirements - heh heh. We took some photos having been impressed by the cybershot's panoramic feature:

Leaning awkwardly on the deck 12 amidst the shi- I mean 'interesting' views of Harwich.

Standing awkwardly in front of the waterslide

Hmmph

Yeah so at like 1600 or something the ship left the port of Harwich and whilst I am sure loads of people took pictures of the panoramic views of Harwich, the 'party started' - idiots. There was a cheap disco near the outdoor swimming pool and cruise entertainment staff beckoned everyone to go down and have fun. One thing with RCL is, they do not understand that old people are unlikely to partake in such activities as 'shaking ones arse until it develops severe fractures' - lol. There were some other people serving fruit punch, little did people know that the punch was paid for - resulting in many then abstaining from the purchase, idiots.

When it came to evening time, we again had a sufficient enough advantage over others in scrambling to get tables and seats in the fine dinning area. As we were suite guests, we were entitled to the ship's 'my time dining feature', which basically allowed us to go and eat at any time we said. So we went to 'The Tides' at around 1830hrs and the Indian food manager guy stalled us annoyingly by 5mins or so at the start.

We were lead to the far end of the ship - right next to the kitchen, the lighting was poor and the tables were carelessly placed very close to one another and we could hear other peoples conversations - it somewhat did not feel as good as other cruises, and certainly did not feel like My Time Dining. Basically we all came to the conclusion that the small numbers of waiters could not cope well enough to maintain good customer satisfaction - service was actually slow, for us.

We had 2 Asian waiters, one was this guy from Shanghai and the other was this Filipino looking guy - who actually reminded me of the Asian American Youtubers - funny. They were quite good and paid enough attention to us. They had obviously known that we, as a family did not like wasting time on alcohol and appreciated fast service. I had this steak thingy, which was o-k but lacked taste. I felt slightly bored by the food as we had tried all of it once before in the Mediterranean cruise last Christmas.

After a satisfactory dinner we went to the 7.30 show in the Coral Theatre and listened to some cheesy - and I thought very stupid, singing and dancing. In particular I personally did not like the host, Kaloda (can't spell her name) she was fat and did not do much on the stage. I knew that every single male dancer was gay in their feminnate dancing styles. There was also a singing which looked kinda weird and I really hated her hand movements. The music was shitty. Then again, I hate this type of 'medium budget' entertainment.

After the show my parents retired somewhere, and I thought this was going to be the highlight of the night - going to the teen club. So yeah, as usual I was late and as soon as I walked in, everybody was looking at me. Then this attractive German supervisor who was called Anna, greeted me and we all sat down. There was only one other Asian guy - judging by his face from America, where as all the rest all presumably English. We first of all had to listen to the usual American rules of no alcohol and no heavy relationships. These children were all talking to themselves, I noticed nobody actually bothered to make a conversation with me - whether they were racist bastards or they probably assumed that I did not speak much English.

So then, the attractive supervisor came over and talked to me for a fair amount of time, the situation was hot because she sat with her legs open directly in front of me. Yeah, so she asked whether I had been on cruises before and the usual light banter. It was only then, when a guy with his cousin came in and disrupted us - bastards. We made a polite conversation and all, found out that he was from the same city.

During a scavenger hunt game - which was useless in every sense, me and this guy decided to play a game of table tennis instead, in which I seriously beat him to death. Then after a while we both got bored and headed back to the Vortex Lounge. We then dossed about the usual private school-government school banter, heh. The gathering was getting so boring by now, the simple and kind kids stayed back lol whilst I went with this guy and his cousin and 3 other girls to get an ice cream. It then turned out that we were not allowed an ice cream so, the girls went back and me and this guy and his cousin went on elsewhere.

I then was put in a situation which I have never experienced before. The guy asked two english girls (of about 18 to 20) to have a cigarette, they gave them to the guy and his cousin. I did not partake in the activity - lol. Yeah so they smoked (underagely) and it was awkward and there was a certain element of grime to the situation, lol. I said to the guy: 'Ill think I will retire to my chambers' and buzzed off. And that was that, my parents did not believe what had happened though. Feck.
